Bumblefoot??

I still can not figure out where to start on this poor hens feet. If I work on the areas that look like scabs they bleed,I know it should not bleed.Still soaking and cleaning.Any ideas?

I have had bumblefoot areas bleed some, especially if they are deep. Not all of them are nicely contained cores. It's really hard to advise well when you can't see and feel the foot. I had one case, a roo, that took a year to resolve, multiple surgeries/cleanouts and multiple rounds of different antibiotics. Some are very simple, treated they heal and are done. Sometimes you get a stubborn or more advanced one. If vet care is an option, then certainly you could do that, and it may be the best option for you. If it's not an option then you are left with trying treatments on your own. Since you are not getting anything out I would be inclined to lance the shiny swollen spot (I know that is probably not what you really want to do) and clean that area out. If you are seeing any improvement with soakings and topical treatments then I would continue. You can also try soaking with tricide neo, which is a fish antibiotic that is often used for bumblefoot. It requires daily soakings and can take quite some time, so patience is needed. I've had the best results with small lesions, but no harm in trying it. I have used it on open sores and at higher dilutions than recommended, with nothing horrible happening. I'm attaching some more links, including info on tricide neo, hopefully something will help. Some people also use drawing salves, like PRID, to draw out the infection. I've not personally used it, so don't have results I can share, but it is often mentioned and recommended on this forum.
