Hi everyone!

This is the first time I have ducklings (2 crested pekins, 1 cayuga and 1 khaki campbell) in the same tote as our 2 baby chicks (polish and turken) and we're having to change the bedding about twice a day. I have never had a flock with bumblefoot and I really need some pointers... ]

How do I know when there's bumblefoot involved?

Thanks everyone.

Welcome to BYC. The telltale sign for bumblefoot is a scab formed on the bottom of the foot on the footpad. It is normally accompanied with redness and swelling.
The main cause for bumblefoot are splinters from an unsanded roost or perch, or other foreign object piercing the footpad. It can also be caused by birds jumping down from a high roost or other high object on the property.
Sanding roosts with sandpaper and lowering roosts prevent bumblefoot problems especially for heavy breed chickens. Also removing high objects from the property that allow birds to jump down to the ground.
