Bumblefoot

Why do my chickens keep getting bumblefoot, and is it dangerous? What can I do to stop it?

Bumble foot can be caused by rocky soil or something that is causing small cuts in the bottom of the foot pads. It also can be caused by wet bedding or conditions around the coop. Here is a good article about prevention and treatments:

Larger breeds are also more susceptible.. you may want to check your bedding and roost/perch heights as well
