Bumblefoot

My Black Spanish boy has a swollen pad on the bottom of his foot. I’m worried it might be Bumblefoot. He won’t allow me to handle him. Any ideas about stress free wrangling for us both so I can get a closer look. Also, treatment???

Look at him at night if possible. He should be pretty easy to catch and look at in the dark. If you have one, a red lens flashlight can help keep the light low while still being able to see what you're doing. I'm not 100% sure about treatment of bumble in turkeys, but I know it has showed up in my broiler pens during times that I have neglected to clean them soon enough and also when things are especially wet due to rain or snow. Keep his area dry and clean as a first resort.
