Hi there seems to be a lot of experts on bumblefoot on this forum, so hoping for some advice/suggestions for my little finch.
(note I bought this finch with this issue, my perches are now all padded, wrapped and taped and the fleece is washed and changed regularly)
I am in the U.K so some treatments are not available here. I am also not going back to the vet for another 3 weeks.
so here is what I started with, and currently looking at. I am hoping this is going in the right direction?
epsom salt soak daily and then apply F10 barrier cream, to be reduced to every other day due to some irritation showing.
soft perches and regularly changed out
on antibiotics at the moment for the next 2 and a half weeks.
I have been told NOT to poke or remove anything from the foot.
but there still seems to be a big lump there still? not sure if this is normal or not? I am pretty worried as not dealt with this before.
hes bright, eating and actually standing better now, not just hunkered down on the perch or in the seed dish. so I think thats a good sign too. I hope.
pics are of what we started with pics 1 and 2 and the rest are what I am looking at today a couple of weeks into the soaks/F10 cream.
thanks
