hii!!
so my silkie has had bumble foot(i think) for a few months.. she hasnt shown signs of limping and if u didnt pick her up and actually look you probably wouldn't know. its not EXTREMELY hot (its the same as my non bumble foot chickens) and shes living life great. maybe a bit slower then the other chcikebs but shes a silkie and isnt as determined as the other ones. (the other ones are all commercial layers)
what do i do- do i still treat it?
((photos attatched)

thank you so much,

Yes, it looks like bumble and yes you should treat it. Chickens cannot expel infections by themselves and you must intervene. Untreated, the infection may move to the bone. If that happens prognosis is poor.

Looks like Bumblefoot to me. Since she's not limping, I would take a slow non surgical approach.

I don't see where that product has any antibiotic properties. Can you can anything that remotely resembles the neosporin? Triple antibiotic ointment is what we can our generic version. Any polysporin or other "sporin", etc available to you? Can you get clorhexidine there (sold super concentrated, so be careful)? That is a good wash and you can substitute that for the vetricyn - which is overpriced, even here in the USA. If you can not get either, then use a mild dish detergent (i.e. dawn) to wash the foot before application. Wash, rinse well, dry and apply ointment/dressing. You can also get a drawing salve to help remove the infection.
