My chicken has bumblefoot on both feet!

thank god I looked at the bumblefoot surgery page before I got chickens. I remember thinking "I hope I never have to do that!!!"
Well, tonight I did. I went on here to check if i did it right and check a few details and I'm so sad to see the threads are gone! I only did one foot tonight and i'm not sure I went in deep enough. But my hen was panting and generally upset so I decided to call it a night. I guess I will take photos of when i do the next one and put them up so others who know can add to that thread... and ya it was pretty gross and then she pooped a big load on my assistant...

shes neosporin'd and wrapped but I put her back up on the roost in the coop cause I dont' have a kennel or another cage. My broody is in the only other thing I have. sigh. it's been a bad week.

crap!
This morning I went out to the coop and My bumblefoot girl is mouth breathing, almost panting... not all the time, but some. It's 6 am, it's not hot. Is it just the stress? Now i'm beginning to worry more. last night after we messed with her foot she was panting for real and kind of barfed a bit (then swallowed it back down)
