Bumblefoot?

My rooster has black scabs on his feet that bleed. I looked online and thought it might be bumble foot but i have not noticed any swelling on the top of his feet. thoughts?

no. I dont think there is any pus either though

If there is pus it would be inside the foot. Chicken pus is different than people pus. It is a semi solid yellow waxy substance. In order to see it you would have to soak off the scab and look to see what is inside.

Maybe he cut his foot on something and the scab can't heal because it is on his foot. Clean up his feet with soap and water and dry. Put some neosporin on the wounds and wrap with gauze. Treat it just like you would like an injury on your own body.

Is the scab on the bottom of his foot or elsewhere?
