Bumblefoot?

I wouldn't cull her just for this--she was from this summer's batch of meat chickens. We will keep some for replacement breeders and she was one potential keeper. Next week we are culling the ones we decide not to keep over the winter. But I really like her so I'm glad to know she should recover!

I prefer to have my vet tech daughter do this kind of treatment but she is unable to come out so I am on my own. Thanks for all the tips.
 
In general, any time you cut into a bird or work with any wound, you should wear latex/vinyl gloves. Its one of those things that is good to have a supply of if you own livestock of any kind.
