Hello all,

My gosling (yes, i know, not a chicken, but i thought i'd get more replies here) appears to have bumblefoot on both of the pads of her feet. I just happened to notice it when I picked her up today. I assume it happened when I took her outside to play around my concrete porch. I'm hoping it's just healing scabs that i can smear some antibacterial ointment on, but is there any chance it is/will be bumblefoot? Thanks.

Side note: Anyone know why she's so pale? I'm guessing it has to do with her living inside, but I'm not positive.

the way her foot pads look ( puffy) I would think that she does have bumble foot. I doubt the concrete path had anything to do with it, other than letting the sharp object/ infection into the foot which causes it. try bathing the foot in warm sterile water then pick off the scab on one foot and see if it is or not, if it is deal with it accordingly, then dress it and keep it clean . there are heaps of bumble foot threads on here if it is

thank you very much for your reply!

i soaked it last night and picked at it, and managed to get the kernel (?) out. i stuffed it with some antibiotic but i was unable to wrap it. i'll wash her feet again tonight, reapply ointment, and see if i can get her to sit still long enough to bandage it.

Try putting a towel over her head so that its dark and he should be more docile. If you think it's all out now then keep an eye on it an keep it Clem until it heals, vet wrap is great for things like that and it's not way to pricy.
