Bump on chicks beak

Hi, my BR chick has a bump on his beak. Picked him up from a lady who buys and sells chicks form hatcheries. She is very popular in my area. The bump doesn't seem to bother her. She eats drinks and is fine. Just curious if it's something I should be worried about. Thanks for your help!

That is the egg tooth which means that your chick is very young. It will go away shortly. It is what they use to pip and zip the egg shell when they are hatching.

If the chick is very young, the bump is probably just the “egg tooth”.
It’s a little growth on the chicks beak that helps the chick break through its shell when it hatches.
It will fade as the chick gets older.

It usually doesn't last past day 3 and should definitely be gone by day 5.
