Bump under her eye

Update: Gigi still has the huge bump under her eye. I apply Neosporin inside her eye & on the lump. It is still the same size. The huge scab comes off every week or so. I have been giving her Ojibwa Tea (Essiac, which fights tumors) and Vibactra (an herbal antibiotic).

Update on Gigi: Things are looking up! The bump has been shrinking and is about half the size it was at it's largest! Still treating her w the herbs and the Neosporin. She even has started to lay eggs again!

Good!
Still no clue as to what it was/is?

I have no idea. But she is doing great. I think the Ojibwa Tea did the trick! I give her a few drops every night & apply it directly on the bump. Great stuff!

Hi all!

It has it been a while since you all helped me re Gigi's bump under her eye.

I wound up taking Gigi to the vet (who grew up on ranches & is actually happy to treat all animals!!) His fees were very reasonable!
He told me it was a tumor. He advised me to just watch her & when it starts to affect her eating, to bring her in & he would euthanize her for me.
She did well for about two weeks... then the lump grew larger & began to affect her being able to pick up her food or bugs.
I took her in the very next day. They were all so kind. The vet took some time to chat w me. He gave her the lil shot while I held her in my arms. She was calm & just went to sleep, very peacefully! What a way to go! She was in Heaven in within just a few moments...
I am so thankful to you guys for your advice. It really truly helped this newbee!
Gigi started out as a hand fed baby... changed homes where she wasn't handled much & she could fly!
And then to me... I immediately clipped her wings... I don't think she was too keen on being grounded... it took several months for her to allow me to get close to her. ....Until she got sick. At that point, I had to corner her 2x a day to medicate her. So we quickly became buddies!
Toward the end, she allowed me to pick her up, she'd sit w me for a while .. & she got lots of snuggles! I really miss her!
I have only two now. Snow misses her a bit... Harley... not-so-much! Lol!
Thanks again for being there to answer the questions & guide me in the right direction!
