Bumps on feet that bleed

I have 6 girls
One has these. On her feet
I checked another one and she has one. I’ll check the other four this evening

What are they
What causes it
How do I treat and get rid of it?

I’m worried about my girls. No vet near me that works w poultry.

I live in the Arizona desert. They forage and have protected space

Is there anything they can cut themselves on?

It looks like some kind of injury, either they are getting cut/abraded on something, or possibly stung or bitten by something. You can dab the spots with a bit of iodine, and you can use plain triple antibiotic ointment on them.

Thank you so much. I have been treating them with the ointment and a spray.

One has this on her comb and above one of her eyes.
This one does not have any on her feet.

I removed hardware cloth that I had wrapped around my fig tree, thinking maybe they got hurt trying to get to the figs.

Good question! And no we don't have ants like that. My guess is one is getting bullied - hence the sores on her comb - been watching them on the cameras the last couple of days. The others for their feet - not sure what is going on - I think maybe bugs in the tall grass and/or cutting themselves on the wire fence around the fig tree.

If it's bugs in the tall grass, cutting that grass back might help.
