Hello Friends!
So when I collected my ducks' eggs today, I noticed that two of them have a very bumpy, rough texture on them. Please see photos below for reference. Is that something to be concerned about? Does it affect the egg quality? Can you still eat them? It is important to note that today is only the 2nd day since the fall that I've collected 4 eggs from my 4 ducks. I had a steady flow of about only 2 eggs a day this winter. Could the texture on the eggs be a result of some ducks not laying much or at all in the winter and starting up again? Does it mean they are lacking anything nutritionally? For reference, I have 4 Indian Runner ducks and they are a year old. Thanks in advance for any insight and help! I have also cross posted this in the duck forum too.
