Uh the last one is also for the cause. Asparagus isn’t underrated it’s underrated in its terribleness.

Question...

Have any of you asparagus haters tried fresh asparagus from the garden? Have any of you tried white asparagus?

I come to you as a former asparagus hater that is still an avid hater of any form of store bought asparagus. However, I love both young home grown asparagus and white asparagus, neither of which taste anything like the abominations that are available in the store.

So food for thought. Maybe you are less so asparagus haters than your are "what we've done to" asparagus haters

I have tried fresh homegrown asparagus. I have tried asparagus in many foul forms and don’t like any of them. Some are worse than others. I have never had white or supermarket asparagus though but I’m going to assume they will also make me gag.

My pee has never been super yellow or smelled like it - see above argument for real asparagus and not the abominations that are available in the grocery store.

Some people can’t smell asparagus pee. They don’t know it for the horrible thing it is.

I don’t like asparagus, not even the head part. But Brussels sprouts, now that’s another story! Kale too!
