If I were to roast asparagus I just might do it next to a whole field of asparagus. Then I would light the grill and put some asparagus on. Except I might forget to put the grill plate in. Then the asparagus would fall to the bottom and burn. Then I would go home to get the grill plate but I would 'accidently' knock the grill over. Into the fields of asparagus. Then the fields of asparagus would BURN and DIE!
