Burrowing Rodent Help?

Try putting lye down the holes using a long handle tee spoon. make sure pets can not get into it. the lye burnes the feet they lick it off and it kills them. this is from a old time remedy. I have collected over years.

The path they are taking isn't really "digging". They are basically wearing the ground down in front of the hardware cloth and going under the hardware cloth. Any lye I put down would be accessible to my pets :(.

We did find a 3-4 week old bunny in the run yesterday morning that we must have enclosed under the chicken house and in the run (it couldnt get out) when we finished yhe hardware cloth 2 days ago. We got a have a heart trap to capture any others under the shed but the bait (carrots and oats) was gone with nothing caught in the trap. today we found one dead rabbit under the coop that had been eaten in places by something (it wasn't pecked by the chickens as they couldn't reach it). What could have been eating a rabbit under the coop? If we put cinder blocks all around the shed I am afraid the mice will just burrow under that to live under the shed. If we can't lower the shed to the ground what other mice/rat/pest options could we try?

Thank you!
