I butchered a chicken today for the first time. I punctured the crop and it leaked into the chicken. Is it still safe?

Absolutely. Just rinse it well.

Breaking anything is safe as long as you wash the meat well before putting it away. The worst thing to puncture, which you should be extra careful with, is the gall bladder, but even that's not the end of the world. It just tastes very bitter, so wash everything extra well if you break it.

Ive broken many crops i do rince out but i also dont eat the inside of the bird. As for breakng the gall bladder never had it taste different from it

It tastes fine if you rinse things. Which I imagine people do anyway, so it's no big deal.
