I want to apologize to everyone who was right about the broiler being a cockerel. I'm very sorry for being a bitch about it and trying to make you all look like liars. I just saw him trying to mount one of the hens outside while they were out free ranging on the grass.

I mean, I get that's what you're saying that it's morally wrong to the birds somehow. But why, specifically, do you think that it's inhumane? Like, what is it about cutting feathers that makes it inhumane?

Is it pain? Dignity? Weather problems? Predator problems?

I'm just feeling some confusion, because there's a few valid reasons for not cutting specific feathers but this was about hackle feather tips and it was a strong reaction to that so I'm curious.
