I just tried to make buttermilk pie for the first time. One was amazing, but the other was slightly overcooked. I looked on the Internet to see how you can tell when it's done, and I got two different answers. One said that you should insert a toothpick, and if it comes out clean it's done. Another said it is done when the surface of the pie cracks. Which is it?
