Speckled Sussex and Welbar. Hen or Roo?!

I have two bantam Cochins. One is very clearly a roo but what do you think about this one? Seems like quite a bit of red around the comb and wattles. Probably slower developing roo?

No, they're typically a reddish color.

I have two 5 week old! First 3 pictures are the Welbar and last 3 are the speckled Sussex. I’m not familiar with either breed and am stumped. Sussex legs seem thick and he/she comes at your hand to peck it. But I’m hopeful!? Both were sold as pullets. Do you have updated photos? I’d love to see the Welbar now. And the red one looks a little like one I have. Curious to find out the breed!

Both appear to be pullets. Your second chick is a RIR, not a SS.

Not a RIR, they have red faces, not white. Down color would be sorta of a ginger/auburn . . .if it were hair, lol.

Chicks and juvenile often have light faces and highlights until they get their adult plumage.
