Thank youIt looks absolutely gorgeous!
I'm making an outside run for my quailies, it's too cold now for them to be outside, I hatched them in October from store bought eggs, I didn't have high hopes but 8 eggs made it full way to lockdown and 7 hatched. They are my first quail. They are so cute, I love your enclosure!
I've got extras of these gravity fed waterers. I'm going to take two of them and figure out a way to use them in the aviary. They work well with hardware cloth, but the avairy doesn't have any. But I have an idea.Any time you have that many birds it's better to have at least two feeding/watering stations. That keeps any birds inclined to bully from keeping other birds away from food and water.
How many birds are you moving in? It might be better to move them all in the evening and let them wake up in new quarters. Moving them in groups might make the latecomers hard to integrate.I'm going to start moving the birds over tomorrow morning. I probably won't move all of them at the same time, it'll be too stressful for them, and probably me too!
I have 25 to move. I hadn't thought of moving them at night. Thanks. How many birds are you moving in? It might be better to move them all in the evening and let them wake up in new quarters. Moving them in groups might make the latecomers hard to integrate.
I have a very busy day today, especially this evening. What if I move birds from one area this morning, they all know each other. Then tonight add the others? How many birds are you moving in? It might be better to move them all in the evening and let them wake up in new quarters. Moving them in groups might make the latecomers hard to integrate.
