Button Aviary Journey

I am starting on an aviary for my button quail. I'm going to turn one of our bedrooms into an aviary, and use this thread to post my progress and pictures.

The room is currently my workshop. It's full of power tools, hand tools, pieces of hardware, wood and other miscellaneous stuff, including some craft items.

Today I cleared the hallway so that there is room to haul everything out of my workshop. But before I can really do that, I need to clear an area of the basement where my new workshop will be.

If anybody is wondering why my workshop is in a spare bedroom instead of the basement in the first place: I used to use a cane and not be able to use the stairs very well.

But now I've got new medication. I'm off the cane, and the stairs aren't as much of an issue, as long as I'm not carrying anything big or heavy. Thank goodness I have a husband to help me with this.

Hubby is off to the local dump with his SUV filled with trash from two days worth of going through the hallway and the basement.



We also have a good pile of stuff that will eventually be headed for the thrift store.

Update: I’ve cleared some of the basement and some of my old workshop.
