my 2 month old silkies are going in their coop in a few days so i was wonering if when the quail are full grown i could keep them with my silkies. they are smaller silkies and very friendly. there coop is 5 ft tall and is a walk in. im not worried too much about the coop b/c button quail have gone in otdoor aviaries. i think the height is fine, but im worried if the silkies would posibly trampel over them. my silkies are friendly and enjoy playing with other birds so do you think that i coul keep them together.
-thanks

To be honest I'm not sure they maybe OK but maybe introduce the quails to the silkies before letting them in unsupervised!! Also is the coop heated or is it real worm where u live?

be careful the buttons are very tiny and can squeeze through anything they can get their tiny heads through. I do not think I would keep them with the chickens because of disease issues but i keep mine as pets in the house in a nice cage. Also buttons prefer 70-75 degrees not hot. just my 2 cents.

the only time its hot is the summer which is around 80 degrees most of the time. i did not think about them getting through but i guess that they could so im goin to put screen on the outside of the poultry netting one to protect from bugs like mosquitos and roaches. two to make sure they dont escape or get there head stuck trying to escape.
