Hello guys,
I had my first set of Button Quail babies hatch yesterday. One of my babies seems to have spraddle leg, he seems to be able to pull his legs in to walk, Kinda, it's a very floppy walk. Should I cull it, or?????
Also I have a baby that I may have hurt, it jumped out of the incubator, and in trying to catch it I may have come down a little hard on it, I was sobbing this morning. This chick I also had to help out if the shell, it had been completely zipped for a couple of hours, but couldn't get the shell appart, and the membrane was beginning to dry, so i pulled the top part of the shell off, and left it in the bottom. It managed to get out of the bottom, except for it's feet seemed to be stuck to the shell, and I think that may have messed up his legs, it has seemed weak all morning, I gave it some surgar water, and now it at least opens its eyes, and will get little bursts of energy, but still for the most part it seems we may have to cull it.
Here is the spraddle leg baby, should I have hubby cull?
