Button Quail Chicks - what kind are they?

I do not recommend it they have been bonded longer then those have been alive lol, you can chance it but i wouldn't and only when its full grown but its probablya bad idea, and whites basicly lets put it this way white is a resessive gene in buttons that cover up the colors, so they could be any morph and have gene's thst could surprise you but the white is hiding its colors, and incubate like 10 eggs and you should get a general idea of what morphs and genes your buttons have, u till then think of it as a lotto , as for the super dark ones if they turn darth thats a very dominant gene so when it breeds a lot should come out darth or something like it or dark and mixed.
Ok thanks I’ll plan on keeping them separate then! They’re so cute!! I like the color variety. Thank you for explaining what types I’ll get if I breed them. So interesting!

If one of a bonded pair die and you need to replace get one thats mature enough then wait a day or two clean out the cage so the mates smell isnt there and re arrange the atuff so it looks new and then introduce and watch how they act a new mate

Females can be housed together long as no fighting going on but males once they hit mature enough if they can hear another female they may attack the males they are stuck with

Ok thank you! I did have one of my bonded pair (the female) die lately and was able to get a new one. My male quail got along with the new female pretty quickly!

That makes sense! Thank you for the heads up!
