does anyone have tips of where to find button quail hatcheries in MN? Also, can button quails be raised as farm animals? where can I order them, and anything else i should know?
Buttons are an indoors only or a climate controlled shelter or aviary bird. They can not tolerate temperatures much below 50°F.
Some pet stores have them occasionally, might check your local Craigslist.
Also, not sure what you're meaning by farm animals, but buttons have almost no meat on them and they're not renowned for their egg laying abilities either (and they're teeny tiny!).
Coturnix would probably be a better choice for your needs and climate.
