I put my button quail eggs on lockdown yesterday. They aren't moving at all...................is this normal? No movement at all..........They are on day 15. Anything to expect? I've never hatched buttons before.

I should also add 10 of the 12 were visibly developing on day 4. I candled day 10 and couldn't really see anything, just the air cell and then dark. No veining I could see but they are so tiny

Do button quail eggs incubate for 18 days too? If so maybe they'll start wiggling in the next couple days.

I think they're 17 days. Do you mean you can't see movement inside the eggs when you candle? Or that the eggs aren't really moving around like a pre-hatch wiggle? They are really hard to candle.

Well I didn't see movement while candling because it was so unclear while candling, but I'm not seeing the actual eggs do the pre-hatch wiggle either. Is there still a chance they'll hatch?

I don’t always notice my chicks moving when I candle before lockdown. I consider myself lucky when I’m graced with a little wiggle. I wouldn’t get too worried about it, I just literally peaked in my incubator and thought a hatching chick was dead it was so still—nope! Just taking a breather—or non-breather lol.
Just be patient, patience is key. Don’t get too eager to move them about— see what they do on their own.

Still no wiggles......:( Are quail eggs somehow different than chicken eggs? I almost always see my chicken eggs shaking or moving at this close to hatching

Help guys...............anyone had experiences like this?????????? NO wiggles 😖
