Button Quail hatch - - WE HAVE BABIES! Pics added

I think you'll do fine getting them to accept one another -- just keep a close eye and check in with them until they seem to approve of the company. There probably won't be any issues since they know each other anyways. One of my hens bit the roo I put in with her at first. She would crouch and dart out at him, but he kept offering her food so I left him in there. Eventually he began flattening himself down (humbling) and peeping. She finally took the offering and settled down -- and they are well bonded to this day! Good, lol... they make a cute couple.

I have a few mature brothers yet to find mates that live together. They feed each other lettuce and preen, but I watch them closely for any issues. You'll figure your buttons out one way or another. Goofy things.

Update the thread when they get bigger especially -- curious what genders you have for certain!
More baby pics if you can of course!

Oooh I think I will have to take some pics shortly. They are feathering out SO quickly! So far I cannot tell any difference in the feathers with the blue chicks. I hope two are boys and two are girls, two had white on their face and the other two didnt.

I was amazed at first how little they ate and drank. I should not have said anything because now I am amazed how fast these little guys put it away.

What is the best waterer for young chicks? I almost bought a budgie waterer at WalMart but it was defective so I passed. I've been using the caps of medicine bottles (lol) and filling them up 3 times a day and cleaning them out. Now it is time to move on to something more convenient!!

I was glad to read this. I have hope the two girls I have will successfully pair out to the boys I have hatched. The female that was calling for the boy contantly has stopped and hasnt called for days. I think perhaps she is forgetting/getting over it. I'm glad because it was heartbeaking hearing her
