Button Quail

Out of about 60 eggs and tries and non fertilized eggs and incubator giving out and countless times checking and checking…. I finally heard some peeping! They are soooo tiny and fragile. I got 2 that lived. 3 were completely developed but died because they couldn’t break out and breathe. So sad. Button quail take only 17 days to hatch but mine took 20. Gotta be patient.
I have 20 more in the incubator now. Fingers crossed no more heartbreaks!

Do you have a humidity gauge and thermometer? This would help.

incubators are often incorrect, so its posible that temps are innacurate. Does it measure humidity too? Next time perhaps use a calibrated thermometer and hygrometer
