I have one female button quail. Her mate died about two months ago. This poor thing is calling day and night, for her mate or probably because she is lonely. It breaks my heart to hear her calling, calling, calling ! I would like to rehome her with her kind. I will even take her myself to anyone who’ll give her a good home. She is kept in my bird aviary, outside, on a dirt floor. The area she has to run around in is 8’x8’ hexagon. I don’t want to put her in a cage with a wire bottom. I realize she is just a bird but I don’t want her to live the rest or her life all alone ! She is free ! I can be contacted at 559-860-6096. I can take her to you as long as it is in the Fresno city limits. Thank you !

Where would I have to ship her ?
It depends on how much it costs.
She is the silver phase. I will try to send you a pic.

Ok, I would love to have her and would be willing to cover some of the shipping, if it’s not crazy. I definitely want it to be safe for her though. How old is she?

The one thing about shipping quail, whether button or Coturnix,..., is that they absolutely have to have a source of water. These little peeps drink quite a bit! I recently adopted 4 Coturnix quail from a farm in VT and they arrived in just over 2 days with NO source of water. I had the foresight to bring water with me when I picked them up and they were beyond parched, drank right away and spent quite a bit of time hydrating when they got home to their quarantine habitat. I recommend getting gel water, it's widely used to hydrate crickets, and readily available in pelleted form you just add water to reconstitute. I ordered this some time ago, just so you can see what I'm talking about: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BNY111Y or you can get it ready to go: https://www.amazon.com/Flukers-8-Ounce-Cricket-Quencher-Fortified/dp/B0006G5B0C. Then add a sizeable chunk of cucumber, cut open on one end. This will provide a long lasting source of water as well. Good luck!
