Button Sexing ??????

I have buttons, they CAN lay at 6 weeks but tend to be around 8 weeks. Sexing them at about that same age, when the males hit sexual maturity and are wanting to breed, you press gently at their vents and they'll foam, females wont. as well as the visual aid test when they get that age, except whites. You'll have to look them up and look around on here there are other posts with pics and links about button sexing and coloring of genders ect...

sorry i couldn't help out more, I've just started with buttons and corturnix quail...Mine are just over 8 weeks and most just started laying, had two buttons that were laying right at 7.

If I remember correctly, they start to get their red vents at around three weeks. The males are the only ones to get this, and only in certain varieties. Other varieties may have pink vents, or in the case of whites/splash, nothing will come in except white, unless there's a color splotch at the butt.

Thank you so much =] This website has so many helpful people
