Buttons eat their eggs too?

I use Calciboost as it is something I have on hand for my other birds that I raise. It is quite expensive but I have not had an egg bound hen since I started using it. Oyster Shell grit is very good and also hard boiled eggs crushed up with the shell. The shell is a very good source of calcium. I use the Calciboost only 4 days a week.

do you have to order that online or can you find it at petstores?

I grind up cuttlebones in their feed, offer powdered oyster shell, and boiled eggs (however i normally dont offer the egg shells because i get too impacient crushing them up small enough

I order it online from whoever is cheapest at the time and buy the largest one they have. I used to get the liquid but now they have powder which is much nicer as the liquid was sticky. You don't even have to crush the shell up totally. I just break it up some. They like to grab it and break off pieces. I don't even crush it fully for the Finches. They too bite off chunks.
