Hey guys! I am currently hatching some button quail. i set them yesterday on their sides in the incubator. then i did some reading about how you should incubate shipped eggs upright. so this morning i put the eggs upright in a cardboard carton. does the sudden change of position harm them. and can i use cardboard cartons for that task.

Okey, thats great. thanks for your reply!

Also i've heard that some people do not turn shipped eggs for like 3 days or so. is that something i should do aswell ?

okey. I did cut the bottoms off. are you sure its safe to not turn them ?

Not turning them in the first three days give the air cells time to reattach. Most everyone does it with shipped eggs. If you look at old threads, you could read about it.
