Buttons!

So I went out and bought a second cage today, and got them separated while we wait for their boyfriends to arrive (thanks, shelley!). I can't wait for the smaller hen's feathers to grow back! I think she's slightly prettier than the other one.
I'm gonna have to talk to the feed store about the pair, let them know. I'd assume they got them from the breeder already paired up, and i'd think that a breeder would be able to tell them apart. so either the breeder is dumb (which considering people around here, doesn't surprise me), or was trying to pull a fast one. either way, the store should know, right?

I doubt anyone would sell hens trying to pull a fast one, hens are in short supply it seems

The feed store probably just mixed them up.

And you're welcome

Right now many of us breeders have too many males that need their mates. I have a bachelor pen and been growing out some birds in hopes the boys will get paired up, unless anyone needs males, I have them

PM for costs!

I seem to have an over abundance of females around here. Same with the breeder I got them from. Her pen was full of females.

No eggs hatched which means I have no more males.

I have one boy to go with my three girls. everyone's together for now until breeding season.

I've adjusted the lighting to keep them from laying for the season. It worked, cause I'm not getting any eggs right now and no fights yet either.
