Horses are my absolute favorite animal! I would love to hear your stories and day to day life with our big furry friends. I have 2 adult horses and 2 miniatures. You can ask questions, share the weird things your horse did today ect lol... can't wait to meet my fellow equestrian's!

I understand from reading about miniature horses, that they do need to be on certain feed diets?

Miniature horses can become obese if left to their own demise, lol. Mine are about 10 months old right now and it's OK and actually good for them the have a LITTLE baby fat because they are still growing. But adults are often put on special diets that are specific to their size, age and healthy weight, if they are out in a pasture, the big eaters are often fitted with a grazing muzzle so they have to slow down. Lol.
