Buy eggs and put them under a broody hen?

Is that a common way of doing things too? Do most people buy the eggs to go into an incubator?

I was given 6 eggs to slide under my broody, what they are doesn't matter to me. If I could plan a broody I would order eggs, but I wouldn't want to pay a premium for eggs that I may or may not want just to put them under a broody. I would plan and order the eggs I wanted to get them into my incubator at the right time when I know I can manage the hatching.

Though I am excited to see what will come out of the 5 remaining eggs that I set earlier this week.
