Buy it Now - Sapphire Hatching Eggs 12+

Yes, Winky is pinkish, too. Oh well! I had hoped for 2 girls because one - which will be Claire - is promised to my mom as a birthday gift (the whole reason I got them in the first place).... But then, of course, I wanted one of my own! It will be a good excuse to try again next year. :) And playing the guessing game is part of the fun. I'll keep these 2 until they crow and then find them a home. They are too cute!!
Appreciate all of your insight.

Mine is a great layer!! And interestingly enough, her eggs started a light green but are now light blue... nice big eggs, and she has lots of personality, I have really enjoyed her in my flock...

One of SBEL hens hatched last year has been broody for almost 2 months now. She's getting ready to hatch out her 4th peachick for me;-) The other 3 lay a bluish-green egg.

My eggs arrived yesterday and are now nestled under my broodies.. plus I have an extra broody in case someone quits (she seems to be taking a lot of breaks, so I'm not trusting her with a fertilized egg yet.)

What was the sticky stuff you used to hold the bubble together? It terrified me to unpack them because I kept feeling like I was going to crush them at any moment. Some of it was really stubborn about coming apart. Candling each egg showed a few loose aircells, but I'm still going to be hopeful. I set 6 under my best broody, and 4 each under the other two while my extra broody sits on fakes. If the extra gets a bit more consistent about being on the eggs, I'll give her two from under the ones with 4.

I'll try to get some pics of them tonight.

I didn't put anything on the bubble wrap.... it came that way. It was some expensive bubble wrap I salvaged.... not sure I want to keep using it. I have been putting a note in the box to cut it with a knife, makes it easier. I like it because it keeps the eggs from moving during shipping. Make for easier packing too. Jury is still out on using it.
