For the price you'll pay for a tiny pre-fab coop, you can build a triple sized open coop/run with predator proofing, which will work well in your climate. They just need to be dry and safe from predators.

Well, I have seen hawks, and raccoons at the beach, but not around here. There are predators everywhere. I'm assuming that you have raccoons and hawks in florida?
We have iguanas but the boat full, but how are they a danger to chickens? Forgive my ignorance-remember, I am learning!!Don't ever underestimate the predators even inside city limits. Stuff like coons, possums and rats are often inside the city. That doesn't count the cats and dogs both wild and tame that often run around. Most suburbs still have foxes and coyotes. Down in Florida ya'll got the boas and iguanas running around thriving.
They will eat your chickens. Always assume there are predators- better to be prepared than to be unprepared and lose your flock.Well, I have seen hawks, and raccoons at the beach, but not around here.
Thanks a bunch. Where do I find plans to build one?For the price you'll pay for a tiny pre-fab coop, you can build a triple sized open coop/run with predator proofing, which will work well in your climate. They just need to be dry and safe from predators.
Oooh there's loads online. I would spend a few dollars on a good coop design plan for sure. They usually come with instructions and supply lists. Thanks a bunch. Where do I find plans to build one?
