Buying Pullets and getting Roosters?!?

I’m curious of how many of you have bought pullet chicks at your farm stores? and…how many roosters are you getting?

Assuming the ratio is high this year.

My luck finding chicks this year has been difficult. 3 sets of straight runs from breeders and I have a high number of Roosters. Then…Bought 3 BRs at the farm store and guessing 2 of which are roosters already.

I've never got a rooster from buying pullets, and I avoid buying straight run at all cost! Any time I've got straight run, it has been 50% male. My neighbors have had slightly better luck with 1/3 male in straight run.

I bought straight run from breeders knowing I would get some roosters, but also hoping for a nice group of hens. But, also had a very difficult time getting my hands on chicks from the farm stores. It’s been frustrating!!
