Buzzing off feathers on the vent for egg laying?

Its like a bandaid. Take it off fast and it wont hurt. So said by my mom. My mom lied.

Butt(haha) if you pluck, won't the feathers start growing back in immediately?
Pin feathers could be more uncomfortable than trimming spikes.

For better fertilization rates the feathers 9n both hens and roosters should be plucked. Cutting or buzzing results in sharp quills and discourages both hen and rooster from making whoopie.
