So, it was shortly after our old dog bishop passed. It had only been a few days but we missed having a dog so much. Me and my brother convinced our dad to take us to the shelter just to "be around the dogs" but me and my brother knew we were really there to find a dog.
(this has nothing to do with the story but there was this rlly cute fat dog there named Rubble)
Anyways, My dad sees this Dog named Thor and Thor was just so excited to see us! So my dad asks if we can see him. We went out into the yard with him and he's playing. he bit me a few times, hard. he didn't mean it, he was playing but he was so strong.
My mom says she didn't want a mouthy dog and we headed home defeated. 2 days later me and my brother go up to my mom to tell her how much we love her lol. We asked if we could foster Thor to at least try and see if he's a good fit. she says yes and we head to the shelter to pick him up. We are given this dog Almost Identical to the one we saw a few days prior.
I thought he was a little smaller, and my brother noticed he was slightly redder than before. But he had the same personality, energetic, mouthy etc.
It took us 3 days to get him to eat. He was abused previously and he has a few pellets in him from being shot at. We ended up going on pet finder and we were able to compare Thor with The Thor we thought we were adopting. So similar, but it was a noticeable difference when compared side by side.
My brother ended up taking him on a walk about a week into fostering him to work on his leash manners and my brohter lost hold of the leash. only for a second. Some jerwad coems speeding down the road and Thor is hit hard. He rolled about 60ft. which is what I think saved him. The vet said there was like a 20% chance he lived. We went to see him and he was so happy. We'd already fallen in love with him and we adopted him soon after his accident. That's where the scar on his head is from.
But yeah! I'm not sure what his name was before, but now he responds to Thor so it's fine.
