BYC 2016 OTHER POULTRY TYPES CALENDAR - Pics Needed!

Pics
These photos are NOT for submission. But the gorgeous green duck reminded me that I had these and thought I'd show them off.

This unlikely duo is Chester the East India Runner Duck (I think that's what they're called) and his best buddy Nappy (short for Napolean) sharing an armrest while they watch TV and eat some popcorn.

Chester loves this stoopid stuffed toy. He picks it up, tosses it, then retrieves it to do all over again.

Chester and his mate Emma enjoy a bedtime snack after getting the kids off to bed.

Chester and Emma just relax after a busy day.

Chester and Emma's first hatch of ducklings.

And Emma with the next year's babies.

You may have noticed that all of these photos were taken in the house. That's where they all live. In the house. Yep. Every single one of them. I have my daughter's permission to share her ducks on BYC, but could not get ahold of her in time to ask her about putting them in the calendar. Without that specific permission, these photos are just for grins and giggles.

Oh, I did that months ago, Diva.

But the green duck in this post caught my eye and I remembered that I had these to share .

Edited to add: If I'd have remembered them sooner I'd still have waited until the end of the contest rather than post them earlier while it was going strong.

All 23 ducks and Nappy and Annie have free run in the house. It's the oddest thing you've ever seen. Daughter has several of those dog carriers. She claps and the ducks head to the crates and load up. She takes them outside for pond time and foraging. When she's ready to bring them in, she claps her hands again and they get back into their crates and wait for their "lift" back into the house. If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes I wouldn't have believed it. Nappy and Annie are in the house all the time, though. Guess they don't crate train as easily as ducks.

East Indies are one breed. Indian Runner are a completely different breed. Your duck does not appear to have any runner in him.
Thanks! As I said, I wasn't sure about that and daughter (their owner) wasn't available to ask before I posted. But I wasn't worried - I knew people who know lots more about this stuff would help out and correct me, and sure enough - you did. I appreciate it.
