BYC and Ladies on here have inspired me to do more for my family....

Looks like your doin a great job, keep up the good work or is it fun. I think when you see the shine in your families eyes when you treat them with your wares, it is all very well worth it. I know I do.

thank you for the compliments :) , we had the avacodo green appliances :)

the characters are from wall- e the movie. the (white) robot looking one is eve, wall -e is the yellow one. it is a disney movie and he loves the movie. that is the only characters i could find of wall-e, was those hard things you lay or prop up on a cake

sorry the pic makes it harder to tell. in the movie wall-e collects trash and piles it up in neat squares using his robot body/trash collection compacter thingy. to represent some trash, i used a hershey bar and cut the rectangles and stacked them on the cake. added sprinkles to represent 'trash too'. and there is one green item representing a plant that wall-e finds.

pretty neat movie my older kids like the movie, but my 4 yr old loves it.

the green was suppose to be the color of grass, could not get the liquid green the right color with white icing. so i got smarter on my son's cake and went to hobby lobby and got this gel coloring for icings. that is how i got the great yellow and blues on my son's cake.

i want to find a site where i can order any cake toppers like this when i need to. still searching....

oooh I see...and you know, my dd had that movie in her hand this time around but then put it down and picked up Rin Tin Tin because it had a dog on it and she said, next time we'd get that one. So then when we watch it I will see what your saying.

Cute ideas.

thank you for all the compliments everyone

it is fun to do this kind of stuff for the family and see how they enjoy it. brings me alot of fun! i let the kids lick the beaters and bowl like my mom use to let me do. even though some people may not believe in that because of raw eggs.

athe food you made looks great.. I was hungry before I opened the thread, but now I'm even hungrier!!

Awe....that green cake brought a little tear to my eye. My Mom baked one like it for me when I was about 4, 5 or 6. (40+ years ago!) I can't remember the year, but I sure do remember the cake. She always made the cool cut-out cakes and decorated them and we got to pick out what we wanted her to make (teddy bears, ball gloves, rocking horses, etc.) but that year I think I wanted a "big girl cake" so she made a regular layer cake for me and it was the coolest green.
