BYC Art Club!!!!

This random act of kindness from someone made my day and filled me with joy and encouragement.

I was in a Hobby Lobby, looking at how-to-draw books and feeling quite down because, though encouraged, just looking at anything that's better than what I can do makes me depressed, sorta like a little kid. Anyways, I was all pouty and jealous 'cause I'm still not very good, especially when comparing myself to those better than me.

Anyways, I ambled over to the sketch book section and was meandering down the isle when I found a purple envelope. On the back of it, it said, If You Found This, This Is For You. (Yes, You!) :)
And upon flipping it over to the front, it said Open Me :).

I cautiously opened it, a little suspicious, I'll admit. But I became teary-eyed and filled with courage and happiness when I read the contents:

Dear You,

Sometimes we have to take risks- Not unhealthy or dangerous risks... but leaps of faith, jumps into unknown territory, steps forward into LIFE. Don't be afraid. Believe in yourself. Smile at the path ahead and just start walking. You can do it. You will do it. But you have to take the first step. The world is waiting for you! Don't make it wait too long.

With love,
Me.

I was surprised, astonished: I feel like this note was sent from the Lord himself, answering my prayers to help me with the one thing I want to be good at. I wish I could thank the person who wrote that note. It made my day.

So was it planned or some one just left it there and you happened to get it?
That is great. I am going to do

Wow! That is an amazing story! There are some truly kind people out there. Have some self esteem!!!

How do you make those? Do you just... Buy the doll head and paint your own ideas on them?

Pretty much.. You need to remove the paint though. (Non-acetone nail polish remover) Then get other supplies. Here is some one blog, good info!

The head I am working on didn't have holes for hair, so I rooted it, AKA I poked holes into it head then put in the hair XD

Mind you, this hobby is a money pit! You will not get what you put in!
