I got a lot of stuff from those to verses, even though it was just an introduction to the chapter, it was meaningful. Paul wrote this letter to the Ephesians (duh :p) but he wrote it in prison. He wrote this chapter specifically to the members of the Ephesian church and to other churches to learn about how the church works as a body. If you guys aren't familiar with where Ephesus is located, it is in turkey:

Yes, pretty true. But the Sabbath was given by God, for all I know, any day would be great too, but He specifically blessed the Seventh, Saturday. Nothing wrong with others, but His shouldn't be undermined or put on any level. It truly is a blessed time.
I know and I agree. But on the 7th day he rested.... ad said to keep it Holy. So therefore sleeping, resting and not sinning and praising God sound like a great idea to me :p Driving to church with my bunch is work for me lol.

LOL, well, maybe. But He says for us to turn away our foot from the Sabbath, not doing our own pleasure, but His. I enjoy Church, I don't know what to say if it is work! lol For me it's a wonderful time for more study, ministry, fellowship with like-believers, family etc. When I'm tempted to sleep, but decide to go out into the hills instead to pray and study, or go minister to someone, it is always a larger-than-life blessing that I receive! Really! It's truly a blessed day if we will take advantage of it.

Gobble gobble jk)

(KJV)

1: Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:
2: Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ

(I will be defining the meaning of the words based on the 1822 edition of Noah Websters dictionary, written to understand the bible since people were ill educated and reading was difficult for many. But it was written in concordance with the KJV here we go)

Summary:

1: Clarifies that Paul is an apostle. Appointed by the will of God. and is addressing the saints but also to the faithful in Christ Jesus. So here it denotes he is addressing 2 types of people, both believers in Jesus Christ..

2: He bestowed a Blessing for a greeting, giving us an example that we should greet each other in a positive manner such a Paul does. To bless other with Grace and Peace, from both God the father and Jesus Christ. Note he is blessing all of them.

I prefer alone time with God. I have a family though. Will you shoe that specific scripture? I remember the commandment, and what Christ said about it to the pharisees, and what Genesis mentions. But for Pastors I often hear that Sundays is work for them, so they prefer their Sabbath off. However doing the work of the Lord such as Jesus healing on that day and them feeding themselves was not against it. I also remember much of the commands given to Moses about it.

Yeah, I don't want to offend anyone but I keep the Sabbath on Sunday. I'm not against keeping the Sabbath on Saturday or anything but I'm just pointing out that I go to church on Sunday. :)

"If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:" Isaiah 58:13
Some may say this doesn't apply to them, or whatever, but that's fine...too bad really, a real lose IMO. That book is great, and deep.
BTW, I don't get offended and don't want to offend anyone. But the Sabbath isn't just up to anyone, the Lord defined it.
