Ephesians 1:13 really stuck out to me.... " in whom ye trusted after ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after ye beloved,he were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise." ____ First of all they heard the gospel... which is a reminder for us to witness to those around us... Secondly they and are are sealed with the holy spirit after we accept Christ .... So nothing we do or say can ever make us lose our salvation.... as John 10:28 states: " And I give unto them eternal life : And they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand." Jesus is speaking here of course... "being sealed unto the day of redemption... " not sure on the reference to that one, but it's such a blessing to know once a person believes and accepts what Jesus did for them on the cross by dying and rising again that are going to heaven.... and nothing can change that ......

Beaky, so if I decide to become an Athiest, kill every Christian possible, and hate and curse God, not want to ever see Him or heaven or anyone to see it....I'm still gonna go and be of God? Show it to me, please, seriously. I think we disagree on this. But on the bright side, that's where Bible study starts, my opinions fall before the Word of God. I don't see anywhere that I can't reject the gift of God. I see everywhere that there are conditions, that my destination is up to me entirely. God paid the price, now I can take it, leave it, trash it, return it......Now is the time to share from the Word of God and come to truth, this is what it's all about.

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Do men gather grapes of thorns or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it. And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine: For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes." Matthew 7:13-29

"Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee. Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in. Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off. And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again. For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?" Romans 11:18-24

"Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower. When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side. But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended. He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful. But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty." Matthew 13:18-23

Do you see my point? These are minute references, ALL THROUGH the Bible is the principle of it being your choice to be saved or lost, moment by moment.....you can be 'graft on' and 'cut off'.....you can accept and then be overtaken by 'sun', 'rocky ground', 'wayside ground', and 'thorns'........you can hear 'depart from me ye that work iniquity'......if you do not constantly abide with Christ, for Christ.
