Can't wait to discuss it. I'm w/ Wegotchickins...off to read Breaking Dawn. Thank goodness I've had a few books to read, so I didn't have to fight my DD for that book. LOL!!!!

I have to totally agree w/ the name thing.

I just started Breaking Dawn a few nights ago, but have been sooo tired at bedtime that I didn't get very far.

Hey chicks4jojo ~ I didn't get the cheap-cheap deal either, but it is better than reg price, right? I was spoiled after I saw those low, low prices.

OK, who else has finshed Fresh Eggs??????

I finished 'fresh eggs' just now. I can't wait to discuss it!!!! Do we have a date set for discussion? I'll admit, I was confused at the ending, can't wait to hear everyone's thoughts.

This was a great idea, thank you to whoever thought of it!

Anyone else finished????

I've gotta say that over-all I was a little disappointed. It started out so wonderfully and then just kinda faded. I was NOT happy with the vague ending.

I agree, let's start discussing. I've read about 3-4 books since reading "Fresh Eggs", so it'll be a bit rusty for me.

SPOILER ALERT!!

wegotchickens - tell us more about your disappointment with the ending. What, specifically, disappointed you?

SPOILER ALERT ~ Don't read this if you haven't finished the book!!!

Despite 'losing' a daughter over the chicken issue, the dad made no life-changing decisions. Instead, he kow-towed to The Man over having a BABY.
The step-mom, who is alergic to EVERYTHING agreed to have a potentially feathered baby?
There was just no accountability, no soul-searching. Just a flip attempt at a happily ever after kind of ending with a teaser thrown in.

I feel like the author started off really strong, got distracted 1/2 way through, and just tried to wrap the book up as fast and as inoffensively as possible.

Did anyone else feel that way, or am I 'out on a limb' with my opinion?

I agree that it was weird that they agreed to have a cloned baby, when the new wife was soooo allergic and all were traumatized by the 1st, feathered, daughter.

Author: "oh, there's a deadline for this? OK, how about I wrap it up neatly for you in 2 more chapters?"
