I miss living in civilization. I walked five miles to work, and another back. Then I walked the dog a million times a day.
The last police officer I saw said I’d be arrested if I so much as walked to the mailbox. I now collect mail about once a week, and do it in the middle of the night. I hide if I see headlights.

I don't know... I had thought about it, but I've never really tried to find out. It would sure make sense. The histories are so old and so mythic/legendary that I think it's hard to know very much in a materialistic sense. These ancient historians were often more poetic and interested in telling great truths (and/or glorifying their leaders, armies, nations, etc.) over bare material facts, so... (We still do this today, btw, and not necessarily to a lesser extent.)

But go on a looting/pillaging/burning spree and you'll likely be left alone to express the greatness of your grief.

I completely agree.

I’m only at 4k steps where has my day gone! I need to go walk circles for an hour. Maybe at 5pm I will. That’s in 22 mins

That’s insane! Is this due to the recent events or covid?

Without getting into the topic I feel like a lot of things that come up are to give people “squirrel” moments. Like how does vandalism help awareness to the cause

Whoo 6 steps and I’m at 10k steps!!

Now to cool down in some AC filled room.

Mowed part of the lawn (push mower and a large farm - takes at least 4 days to mow everything) - put me over 10,000 steps and only 5:00. Had to come in for a break, it is way too hot out there now that the clouds have moved on. We need a rain, but I am glad that set of clouds moved on. About 10 minutes after I came inside I got a notice on my phone for a tornado warning (spotter sighted) for the town just east of us.
