Hi, I'm new to BYC but I have a FitBit that I try to use to push me daily. How do I join the FitBit group? I can't seem to find it on my phone app. Not a major steps queen but I try to do what I can.

For sure! I can’t believe I never washed it before granted I only started using it this spring but still! Didn’t realize it would be so gross

Same!! Who woulda thunk it? in just 6ish months it got that dirty! Now I need to add “clean Fitbit” to my monthly tasks or something.

Can a rooster service 18 hens or should I add another rooster eventually? Or just gamble which are the fertilized eggs in the spring since my rooster is the best nicest ever roo and I wouldn’t wanna mess that up with competition...

I think Freddy is being picked on because his neck was all red with dried blood I think his comb was bleeding onto it because I couldn’t find any wounds. I first noticed it the other day but he wouldn’t let me catch him to look and also it wasn’t THAT bloody or red yet, just a little and kinda orange ish not red, so I wasn’t sure if it was maybe just dust from dust bathing. He was acting fine. But today it was a lot more red and much more of it when I went to check the water so I shut the pop door to the coop so he couldn’t go back in and caught him (took a little while ) and brought him inside. Tried to rinse the dried blood off as best I could but he was being such a good boy, I didn’t want to push it and do it for too long hahah so I didn’t get a lot off but some. Put some Neosporin on his comb too but the weird thing is he didn’t really have wounds there either. just a few tiny little spots with scabs. Would this bleed that much? I think it might have possibly become unattached in the front though too but idk.

And I think it depends on the rooster! I would just keep him for now and see if he can handle it. I’ve read varying numbers, anywhere from 8 to 10 to even 12 being “ideal” for a rooster but some roosters can handle more than that and some can handle even less and even within the “ideal” number sometimes they just have favorites or prudes that won’t submit so I’d just wait and see!!

And now I can’t go get any food for FORVER because I’m accidentally stuck in a school pick up mess I made the mistake of going to the school to try to scrape some ice/snow off my car before going elsewhere and parked and now all these cars blocked me in and there’s a massive line
